The GUIDE@HAND application provides a comprehensive audio sightseeing experience, offering touristic information, maps, and software in English, German, and Hungarian. Users can select their preferred language during installation, ensuring accessibility for a diverse audience.

The walkthroughs designed by GUIDE@HAND aim to enrich the exploration of cities by revealing historical and contemporary narratives through auditory guidance. Each walk lasts between 2 to 4 hours, allowing participants to absorb information in an engaging and adventurous manner. The app conveniently transforms your mobile device into an audio guide, facilitating navigation from one point of interest to another while presenting relevant information at appropriate moments. Users can easily track their location on the map and can revisit previously heard content or images associated with various sights. The flexibility of pausing and resuming walks enhances the overall sightseeing experience.

Explore with Offline Map

The "Explore" function enables users to navigate the city’s points of interest independently using an offline map. As you approach landmarks, the device will automatically supply essential details, allowing for a deeper exploration through additional audio stories.

Tourist Services on the Map

GUIDE@HAND also assists users in locating various tourist services nearby, such as restaurants, bars, and shops, which can be viewed on the map for added convenience.

Taster Walk - The Inner City Walk (2 hours/3 km):

This itinerary navigates through downtown Budapest’s most iconic areas. Beginning at Deák square, walkers are guided along Andrássy út—celebrated as one of Europe’s most picturesque avenues. The walk includes significant landmarks such as the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica, concluding with stunning views along Chain Bridge over the Danube river before returning to Vörösmarty square and Váci utca.

Note: Continuous use of GPS while running in the background may significantly drain battery life.
